There are more corn-related events at the annual Iowa State Fair than you can shake an ear of corn at (corn-shaking may or may not be an event in itself), and one of them is this corn-kernel voting thing. It's not as important as the Ames Straw Poll, partly because the whole system seems a little too lax to be taken seriously. Those kernels in Thad McCotter's jar, for example, must have been blown in by the wind.
