In Retrospect, Hank Williams Jr. Wishes He Didn’t Make That Hitler Comment

After thinking things over, country music star Hank Williams Jr. has decided that he shouldn’t have said that John Boehner playing golf with President Obama was akin to Benjamin Netanyahu playing golf with Adolf Hitler. On his website yesterday, Williams penned a brief apology. He capitalized random words, just like our Founding Fathers would have done if they were apologizing for a Hitler analogy.

“I have always been very passionate about Politics and Sports and this time it got the Best or Worst of me. The thought of the Leaders of both Parties Jukin and High Fiven on a Golf course, while so many Families are Struggling to get by simply made me Boil over and make a Dumb statement and I am very Sorry if it Offended anyone. I would like to Thank all my supporters. This was Not written by some Publicist.”

Apart from being offensive, it was just a really bad analogy. Hitler and Netanyahu were not contemporaries like Obama and Boehner, and could not even hypothetically play golf together unless Netanyahu traveled back in time, or Hitler came back to life and played golf as a zombie. Williams should apologize to analogies.
