Organizers Aaron Black and veteran Lower East Side activist John Penley tell Intel that sixties folk singer and protest doyenne Joan Baez will headline a concert in support of Occupy Wall Street in Foley Square tomorrow. Baez is in the area on tour, and expressed interest in visiting OWS — but just visiting. “I don’t want to go in toting my guitar. This has a very different tone,” she told a Connecticut paper.
But Black and Penley say she’s confirmed, and that this won’t be another Radiohead situation.
