‘Merchant of Death’ Convicted of Arms Dealing
A Manhattan jury found alleged Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout guilty in federal court today of conspiring to sell missiles, machine guns, and more to government informants he believed were Colombian rebels aiming to attack U.S. forces. After the verdict, his attorney said, "He's resolute. He's a strong man." Considering the guy's nickname was the "Merchant of Death," we'll take the lawyer's word for it. [WSJ]
