Stop Spitting on Transit Employees

With assaults on MTA workers up this year, the city is considering following Boston's lead in pursuing public transportation riders who spit on transit employees using DNA evidence. Disgusting riders have projected their saliva onto bus or subway workers 145 times so far in 2011, or about 14 times a month, leading the Brooklyn D.A. to look into a DNA initiative. Come on, everyone, this really shouldn't be necessary.
