Queens Redistricting Battle Just Got Kinda Fun
Himanshu (Heems) Suri of Das Racist is releasing a solo mix tape, Nehru Jackets, to raise awareness about the political consequences of redistricting in minority communities in Queens, like the Indian one in which he grew up. We're very sincerely hoping more of our favorite musical acts get deeply involved in local politics. Just saying: Community Board No. 1 would make a pretty good album title.
