Real-estate scion, Mr. Ivanka Trump, and New York Observer publisher Jared Kushner is considering adding a baseball team to his diverse stable of investments. Kushner has advanced to the second round of bidding for the troubled Los Angeles Dodgers, the L.A. Times reports, alongside at least eight other offers. If successful, the 31-year-old would become the youngest owner in Major League Baseball. The Observer’s executive editor teased on Twitter, “How about if the @newyorkobserver just fields a softball team and we all get jerseys and maybe a small stadium? #babysteps,” while editor-in-chief Elizabeth Spiers is dreaming bigger: “If Jared buys the Dodgers, I’m gonna lobby to move ‘em back to Brooklyn.” Why not!
