It was reported earlier this month that the Obama campaign is going to spend some time trying to turn increasingly Hispanic Arizona and its eleven electoral votes blue in 2012. Good call: Though the state has only gone for the Democrat once in the past 60 years (1996), two polls show Obama and Romney in a dead heat. Avoid John McCain today unless you want to experience him at his absolute crankiest.
