The former Georgia politician and college professor talked to the assembled GOP leaders about how the 2010 election will “change America.” Saying that President Barack Obama rammed through healthcare reform using a political “machine,” Gingrich said, “We dont’ need to understand it. We need to defeat it and replace it with people who are about America.” Photo: Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images

If things don’t go his way in Delaware’s primary on Tuesday, Newt Gingrich may finally be ready to accept that Newt Gingrich has no chance of winning the GOP nomination. “I think we need to take a deep look at what we are doing,” Gingrich told NBC News. He also claimed to a crowd of about 50 supporters Monday at GOP headquarters in Delaware, where he’s been campaigning, “Frankly, I think it is a mistake for Romney to kick-off his general election campaign tomorrow in New Hampshire. He has about half the votes he needs to be nominated.” If nothing else, Newt is doing an excellent job of prolonging the relevance of the website shouldnewtgingrichdropout.com.
