On Morning Joe today, John Heilemann discussed yesterday’s Joe Biden “big stick” speech meant to remind voters of President Obama’s foreign-policy record while also attacking Mitt Romney’s lack thereof (and obviously to give Daily Intel a little giggle.) “The president is on very strong ground when it comes to foreign policy for all the obvious reasons,” Heilemann said, noting Biden’s point that Romney is contradicting himself when criticizing the Obama administration plan for Iran. “If Mitt Romney is for tough sanctions [on Iran], he is for the Obama policy … The only way to do more right now is to get militarily involved in Iran and I don’t think Mitt Romney wants to make that argument.”
