GOOD Magazine Lays Off Staff, Keeps Their Likeness

Los Angeles–based GOOD magazine, which has recently transcended its “earnest” trappings thanks in large part to fresh editorial blood, laid off most of its top editors on Friday, the day after a launch party for their latest issue. Today, in another instance of bad timing (at best), the magazine thanked readers for liking their Facebook page with a video that, quite awkwardly, stars a handful of staffers who lost their jobs. “Pretty gross that you would post this PR attempt days after firing several of the people featured in the video,” one commenter noted. “They’re the ones responsible for creating the product we all loved.” GOOD’s owners are so far mum on their plan moving forward, but the last of the departed team’s work can be seen here.
