As of this morning, the L train will be making an additional 34 round-trips per week (that’s seven more on Sundays, eleven more on Saturdays, and sixteen more on the weekdays.) State Senator Daniel Squadron, who advocated for more service on the packed route, described the long overdue move in words we can all understand: “Anyone tired of crushing crowds and overflowing trains will now have an L trip less likely to feel like hell.” No promises on what you’re likely to feel upon actually setting foot on Bedford.
