Fox & Friends Grills Little Girls About Who Built Their Lemonade Stand

The always sober and balanced folks from Fox & Friends brought out the big guns this morning for their continuing campaign of truth in the Barack Obama’s “you didn’t build that” faux-troversy. Host Brian Kilmeade literally had a sit-down with 7-year-old Clara Sutton and her little sister Eliza this morning to spell out the evils of government assistance via the story of the kids’ lemonade stand. “Clara, how do you feel about the president saying that you needed help to start this business?” Kilmeade asked. “And just speak from within.” At that point, Eliza literally yawned because Fox & Friends starts at 6 a.m. and she is 4.

Clara, who uses terms like “proprietary” and “confidentiality agreement” adorably, told him, “I would say that’s rude because we worked very hard to build this business.” Then she added, “But we did have help.” Kids.

As Erik Wemple points out, this isn’t the first Fox News stop for the cuter Joe the Plumber stand-ins. A FoxNews.com article from last week begins, “A pair of sisters who run a thriving lemonade stand in Texas beg to differ with President Obama’s message that entrepreneurs ‘didn’t get there on your own,’ and several grownups who groom the next generation of small business owners say the kids are right.” Several grown-ups might’ve called it a day right there. Nope. This is our America:
