Two years ago, when we first wrote about the availability of President Obama’s old two-bedroom apartment at 142 West 109th Street, it was going for $1,900 a month. Now the apartment is up for grabs again, but for $2,400. Ugh, rent in New York — are we right? We’re right.
Anyway, price boost or not, the opportunity to live in the apartment that Obama once called home is going to appeal to a lot of New Yorkers. For one thing, you could jokingly refer to it as the “presidential suite” when you show it to people for the first time. That has to be worth about $2 a month right there.
