The visits were part of the first lady’s “Let’s Move!” initiative, which is designed to promote healthy eating and lifestyles in low-income areas. Upon noticing that the Secret Service was sweeping the Foxwoods Theater in Times Square today before Michelle, Sasha, and Malia Obama attended a performance of Spider-man, Turn Off the Dark, someone approached the agents and said, “If the show’s no good, I’m going to blow it up.” After investigating, they determined that the “unidentified idiot,” as the Post puts it, was merely joking. It’s particularly bad timing, since it was reported that a D.C. cop threatened to shoot Mobama just three days ago, though we suppose the Secret Service is never really receptive to jokes about blowing up the First Family.
