When Michelle Obama paid a visit to the Late Show yesterday, she encouraged the American populace to watch the Republican National Convention despite the fact that she herself is not. After all, she is the “wife of the guy they’re running against.” It didn’t take long for David Letterman to inquire about any GOP talk in the White House, specifically Todd Akin (at whose very mention Michelle rolled her eyes and grumbled “Oh, God”). “Does your husband ever come home and say to you, ‘Hey, did you see what Todd Akin said?,’ and then just go ‘hehehe’?” Always the First Lady of tact, Michelle replied, “There are moments when there are interesting things that happen, and we discuss them.” Watch the clip straight ahead.
