Last Year’s Most Hated Financial Firm Is Glad Not to Be This Year’s Most Hated Financial Firm Too

Richard Friedman, a Goldman Sachs executive, joked at a Dow Jones private equity conference this week that he’s “glad Romney is from Bain Capital and not Goldman Sachs.”

Romney, too, is probably glad he’s from Bain and not Goldman, considering how much fun his GOP primary opponents and the Obama campaign would have had with that firm’s PR misadventures. So, everybody wins! (Except, you know, Bain.)
