Protesters Storm U.S. Embassy in Yemen

Protesters in Yemen.

Early on Thursday morning, thousands of people gathered outside the U.S. embassy in Sana’a, Yemen’s capital city, in another protest sparked by that idiotic Islamophobic video. Some protesters broke through the outer wall surrounding the embassy and set fire to a building, cars, and tires, according to the New York Times. On Wednesday night another protest outside the U.S. embassy in Cairo turned violent, with demonstrators throwing rocks and pushing through a barbed wire fence surrounding the building. CNN reports that riot police fired warning shots and tear gas in an attempt to disperse the crowd. Several people were injured, but no one was killed in either incident.
