Anderson, the daytime expansion of the wide-reaching Anderson Cooper personal brand, will not return after next summer, the New York Times reports, citing the show’s inability to catch on with viewers. “While we made significant changes to the format, set and produced it live in its second season, the series will not be coming back for a third season in a marketplace that has become increasingly difficult to break through,” announced the Warner Bros. syndication unit Telepictures. “I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and I’m sorry we won’t be continuing, but I have truly enjoyed it,” said Cooper in a statement. The giggling good times will continue on CNN in prime time, as will the serious stuff: The star host is reporting on Hurricane Sandy live from the Jersey Shore tonight.
