Another child was hit by a stray bullet early Sunday morning while heading home from a baby shower. At first, when Hailey Dominguez, 5, collapsed outside her Bronx apartment building, her family thought she’d fainted. They tried to carry her upstairs, then realized she’d been shot in the stomach. The bullet hit the girl’s lung, but missed her ribs and spinal cord. She’s now in stable condition at Columbia Presbyterian after being put in an induced coma. Witnesses say they saw two groups of men firing at each other nearby, but police are still looking for the shooter.
