VIP guests get food from seven of Jean-Georges’s restaurants, while the plebes with standard $350 tickets will have to make do samples from Tavern on the Green, Osteria del Circo, and others, just as Marx predicted.
• Whitney Art Party. Skylight, 275 Hudson St., nr. Dominick St., 9 p.m. Kate Bosworth, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Emmy Rossum, Moby, and others are expected. The main event of the evening will be a screening of Gellar’s Scooby-Do 2: Monsters Unleashed narrated by Brice Marden.
