Media Glee at Clinton's Fall Makes Headlines

Last night, the National Review wondered whether the media effort to push Hillary Clinton out of the race would begin today. It probably will, but in a few hours. For now those darn smug, elitist, self-impressed types who write the news are taking a moment to revel in the impending fall of Hillary Clinton, a candidate who many of them have looked upon with a thinly veiled loathing over the last few months. Here are some of our favorite headlines from this morning, where newspeople's glee at Hillary's weak showing last night shines through. These are all from news and analysis articles, mind you, not opinion pieces (though some of the online headlines are unfortunately different from the exciting print versions):

• BAM ROCKIN' & HIL TAKES A SOCKIN' [NYDN]
• STICK A FORK IN HER, SHE'S DONE [NYP]
• It's Not "Quite" Over [Ed: You have to see the cover illustration on this to get it] [Chicago Sun-Times]
• Putting the 'Stale' In Stalemate [WP]
• Obama takes resounding victory in N.C. — Clinton apparently wins in Indiana in close race [Ed: "Apparently"?] [MSNBC]
• TOAST! [NYP]
• Night Lands Clinton Closer to Oblivion [Ed: What, is she being banished to a parallel universe?] [Salon]
