Add one more report to all that Clinton hemming and hawing: According to an Associate Press report just now, senior campaign staffers say that Hillary Clinton will concede that Barack Obama has the delegate count to secure the Democratic nomination.

The former first lady will stop short of formally suspending or ending her race in her speech in New York City. She will pledge to continue to speak out on issues like health care. But for all intents and purposes, the two senior officials said, the campaign is over. Most campaign staff will be let go and will be paid through June 15, said the officials.

Is this really the end? Probably not quite. But to any newspaper out there that doesn’t have its Clinton Campaign Obituary mocked up already, it’s time to start typing. The ladies of The View are already mourning.

Update: Clinton campaign chair Terry McAuliffe just called in to CNN to say she wouldn’t concede.
