Usually you have to work for someone for a week or two before you find out how crazy they are. But Upper East Side mom Rebecca Land Soodak laid it all out there on the table in the Craiglist ad she put up looking for a nanny, acknowledging in the first sentence that her kids are a "pain in the ass," and going on to describe various quirks: "I have all sorts of theories on how to stack my dishwasher," and "If you are the type who doesn't notice crumbs on the table, skip to the next post, because crumbs are a deal breaker." And she doesn't want to deal with someone who judges her for being rich: "I do not want to hide my occasional Bergdorf shopping bag." In summation: "If you are fundamentally unhappy with your life, you will be more unhappy if you take this job." Sounds awesome. But the honesty of the post appealed, because she did get a nanny (good luck with the crumbs, lady), as well as a nice little write-up in the Times today, and now she's angling for a book deal. Which we don't think would ever actually happen. Because who cares about the thoughts and feelings of obnoxious rich New York women who torment their nannies and don't have to work? Oh. Wait.
