When we took a look at Barack Obama's official presidential portrait, released yesterday, we were overcome by strange feelings of warmth, comfort, and affection. There was something about the way he looked into the camera, the glint in his eyes, and the slight, knowing smile barely forming on his face. It sent us into a momentary daze, so enraptured were we in his glowing visage. So, overall, a pretty successful photograph, especially in light of other recent failures. But, after shaking off our stupor, we soon realized we'd seen that look before.
Take a lesson from Seinfeld's "The Wiz," Obama. The look only works until you put on your hat and start marching.
