People Have to Stop Leaving Other People on Buses

Yesterday, a crying Queens kid was spotted stranded inside a school bus by a passerby. Sure, he was only in there for twenty minutes, but this is at least the fourth time in recent memory that someone — often a disabled person — has been left abandoned on a bus. Listen, bus drivers: We know that after a long day of navigating the city’s chaotic streets, you just want to get the hell out of there, go home, and put your feet up. But if Captain Sully was able to pace the aisles of a sinking plane — twice! — to ensure everyone got out, a five-second jaunt through a bus seems pretty doable. C’mon now. [NYDN]
