The bleeding hearts at the Audubon Society are all aflutter over Richard Meier's recently completed glass tower at Grand Army Plaza, because, they say, it may be "harmful" to birds, a.k.a. Nature's Terrorists. "The design is a set-up. It's putting huge, uninterrupted, solid panes of glass adjacent to a landscape," Glenn Phillips, executive director of NYC Audubon, tells the Post. "An all-glass building adjacent to the park is a deathtrap for birds." He says that like it's a bad thing. Clean skies now! [NYP]
