Some Day We May Miss Good Old Rupert

We preferred The Wall Street Journal before Rupert Murdoch got his smooth, plump paws on it: The stories were quirkier and the reporting was less tabloid-y. But today’s Times story about the 78-year-old mogul’s quixotic belief in the power of print in the face of plummeting profits and crotchety investors gave us a glimpse at a a future in which we may actually miss the old-fashioned ethos of Rupert Murdoch. Weird. He’s like the George H.W. Bush of media. [NYT]
