Aha! Evidence! Proof! The terrorist birds who took down US Airways Flight 1549 thought they'd covered their, um, air tracks. They crashed the plane in the Hudson and sunk the engine into feet of muck at the bottom. But heroic investigators found the engine, brought it up, and extracted a damning clue — a single singed feather, the one you see here. It's as if they'd left a signature — the one-word calling card of a team of would-be serial killers:

BIRDS.
