Paul Krugman Is Music to Our Ears

Songwriter Jonathan Mann makes a case for Nobel Prize–winning economist and Times columnist Paul Krugman to take over for Tim Geithner and fix the economy today — in song. “We need you/on the front lines/not just writing for the New York Times,” Mann sings to a synthesized melody that is part indie rock, part “Feed the World.” You can watch it in the video at right. Meanwhile, if anyone needs us for the rest of the day, we’ll be in the studio with Wyclef, recording a reggae-tinged melody about the charms of John Paulson.
