Kanye was charged with three criminal misdemeanors after he and his manager wrestled a camera away from paparazzi at LAX, ultimately smashing the camera and shattering the flash. Not surprisingly, the rapper’s getting off pretty easy. Anna Wintour, Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna, Tinsley Mortimer, Hugh Dancy, Harvey Weinstein, and Diane Von Furstenberg honored Valentino at MoMA for the premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor, a documentary by Vanity Fair’s Matt Tyrnauer. Salman Rushdie dined at Da Silvano. Bruce Willis and his date sported Uggs at Remy.

Vin Diesel’s publicist dropped him after he showed up four hours late to a Fast & Furious 4 junket in L.A., telling a Universal exec that he was “sick” just before he turned up looking fine. Lady Gaga chose not to wear pants. Again.

Jason Segel’s date to the L.A. premiere ofI Love You, Man passed out by the pool of the Sunset Tower Hotel and was carried out by paramedics while Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver dined at the hotel’s restaurant. Columbia security can’t seem to control the gaggle of girls waiting outside all of James Franco’s writing classes, and W is getting paid $7 million for his memoir, Decision Points, due out in 2010.

The recession doesn't seem to be hurting Marc Jacobs too badly. The designer and his boyfriend, Lorenzo Martone, just signed on a $13 million, Robert A.M.
