Iowa Supreme Court Rules Same-Sex-Marriage Ban Unconstitutional

“The Iowa statute limiting civil marriage to a union between a man and a woman violates the equal protection clause of the Iowa Constitution,” wrote the justices of the Iowa Supreme Court in a unanimous decision reversing state policy and allowing gay couples to marry.
