The vote counting isn't yet finished, but for all intents and purposes, Democrat Scott Murphy has basically won the race for Kirsten Gillibrand's old upstate congressional seat. His lead has grown to 400 votes, and his Republican opponent, Jim Tedisco, would need to capture about 75 percent of the remaining ballots, a fairly unlikely task. With his weird court requests and ballot challenges, we were afraid Tedisco might try to drag this one out forever, but sources tell Capital 9 News that he may concede as early as this afternoon. See, Norm? It's that easy. [Capital 9 News]
