Obama to Tackle Immigration Reform, Because There’s Not Enough Going On


As if he wasn’t already up to his neck in herculean tasks in the near term — like fixing the economy, health-care reform, and energy reform — President Obama plans to reignite the highly divisive immigration debate as early as May, with an eye toward introducing legislation by this fall. Democratic aides are already worried that this could “weigh down the president’s domestic agenda,” but that’s only because they aren’t gluttons for pain and hardship like Obama is. [NYT]
