'Tis the season to be swanning about the Hamptons! But just in case you're not, here's our weekly wrap-up of what you missed this weekend.
Sarah Jessica Parker was pulled over by state troopers on Route 27 because the lights on her Mercedes minivan were off. Lourdes Leon Ciccone was primped at a local Hamptons salon. Martha Stewart slurped a "Dirty Bird" margarita at the Blue Parrot, the quirky cantina revamped by Ron Perelman, Renée Zellweger, and Jon Bon Jovi. Autumn Rose Williams was crowned Miss Shinnecock Teen 2009 in the Southampton Inn ballroom on Saturday night. Elsewhere, staffers at the Georgica retracted the club's awning, causing all aspiring clubgoers to get drenched as they waited to get in (or not).
The 10th Annual Love Heals benefit, hosted by Nicole Miller co-chaired the EcoFabulous in the East End benefit at Sagaponack's Wolffer Estate, where Alec Baldwin munched on vegan salad and auctioned off resort vacations, and Stavros Niarchos showed up shockingly dateless. Rudy Giuliani made an appearance at the Heart of the Hamptons Ball in Bridgehampton, where Real Housewife Alex McCord's husband, Simon Van Kempen, sported an "I Personally Killed Fashion" T-shirt. Classy.
Tory Burch requested the exact ingredients to her "Tory Tikki Tini" from Local 138's new cocktail menu so that she could serve up the blue beverage at her Hamptons home. The Viking Ferry of Montauk's challenge to East Hampton's ban on vehicle and high-speed ferries has been dismissed. The two Sag Harbor students who were infected with swine flu have returned to school. Seth Meyers entertained guests like Martha Stewart and Christie Brinkley at the Club Starlight benefit at East Hampton's Ross School by comparing the elite prep school to his "lame-ass public school." Pink Elephant and the just-launched Day and Night filed for bankruptcy, but it seems that the filing is more of a strategic tool to help the owners better negotiate their long-standing debt on the ancient Southampton club Cabana. And Billy Joel's marriage might be ending, but his Sag Harbor motorcycle exhibit has been extended until July 19.
