Ex–Credit Suisse Broker Cries After Being Found Guilty of Securities Fraud

Yesterday, Eric Butler — one half of a duo of Credit Suisse brokers accused of misrepresenting the risks of securities they sold to clients — was found guilty of conspiracy and securities fraud. Apparently, this came as something of a surprise to Eric, who we guess didn’t see the connection between lying about securities and being convicted of securities fraud, per se, and he got a little verklempt, the Post reports: “Wiping tears from his eyes, Butler appeared shocked by the verdict.” He faces 45 years in prison.
