Nick Hornby Wrote a Song About Levi Johnston

Here at Intel, we’ve often felt artistically inspired while gazing at Levi Johnston’s confused, Adonis-like features. Apparently we’re not the only ones. British novelist Nick Hornby has also fallen in thrall to the muse that is Sex on Skates, and he’s composed a ditty, in collaboration with the singer Ben Folds, called “Levi Johnston’s Blues,” about the self-described “fuckin’ redneck“‘s struggle with becoming a celebrity overnight. “It’s the tension between his bravado and the panic he must have felt,” Hornby told the FT this weekend. “Hopefully, it’s sympathetic.” There’s a bootlegged version online, and this is the chorus: “I like to do some shit, do some chillin’ I guess/ You fuck with me and I’ll kick your ass.” Obviously we’re disappointed we didn’t think of this, but we have to give props where props are due. Ours would have had a lot more “Ooh baby“‘s in it, though.
