Senate Starts Health Care Debate With Lots of Bickering


The first day of Senate debates on the Democrats’s $848 billion health care bill provided a nice snapshot of what the rest of the debate is going to look like: sniping, complaining, eye-rolling and stalling. Harry Reid, who was accused of a “stunt” early in the session for making unexpected requests of Republicans, said he was “disappointed” in how the debate started.
