Who's your favorite New Yorker, living or dead, real or fictional?
At the moment, my favorite New Yorker is Glenn Fitzgerald, who is in the play with me. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he's as real as they come.

What's the best meal you've eaten in New York?
I can't think of ONE. I've had lovely brunches at Lupa. There is delicious fresh food at Mylos. I used to always go to Indochine for special occasions. Il Buco. Bo Ky in Chinatown for an incredible, cheap bowl of curry seafood noodle soup with egg noodles and greens that I've being getting for seventeen years. Yum!

In one sentence, what do you actually do all day in your job?
My job ... hmm ... At the moment it allows me to chase after my children all day, run to the theater on the C or E, say the words of a beautiful playwright, eat a piece of pizza, pass out, start all over again.

Would you still live here on a $35,000 salary?
No.

What's the last thing you saw on Broadway?
I went to watch my husband, opening night of The Philanthropist.

Do you give money to panhandlers?
Sometimes.

What's your drink?
Water or wine.

How often do you prepare your own meals?
Every day.

What's your favorite medication?
Xanax.

What's hanging above your sofa?
A beautiful overpriced French antique mirror that goes with nothing else in the room.

How much is too much to spend on a haircut?
Maybe what I pay.

When's bedtime?
The earlier the better, which is one reason I have no business being in a play. Between my two small children I get VERY LITTLE sleep.

Which do you prefer, the old Times Square or the new Times Square?
The old Times Square.

What do you think of Donald Trump?
I don't.

What do you hate most about living in New York?
Agro cab drivers. Dodging dog shit on my own block. Sucking in exhaust fumes while pushing my seven-month-old daughter down the street.

Who is your mortal enemy?
I hope I don't have one.

When's the last time you drove a car?
I drove to Cape Cod in August.

How has the Wall Street crash affected you?
I wish we had waited a few more months to have bought our apartment.

Times, Post, or Daily News?
Times, but not as often as I should.

Where do you go to be alone?
I love eating out by myself.

What makes someone a New Yorker?
There are gradations. I felt like I could call myself a New Yorker after living here for ten years.
