Justice Department Looking For New Terror Trials Location

The White House has asked Attorney General Eric Holder to look for venues outside of Manhattan to try five accused September 11 terrorists, on a day when Governor Paterson and Long Island Congressman Peter King joined Mayor Bloomberg and a slew of others opposing the Obama administration’s plan. This doesn’t mean the trials won’t be held in Manhattan, the Daily News says, just that the location is being reconsidered. Earlier this afternoon White House spokesman Bill Burton said the president still supports Holder’s plan to hold the trials in New York. [NYDN]
