Two Dead in Plane Crash at N.J. Airport


Two people are dead and three are missing after a small plane crashed at a New Jersey airport this afternoon. The crash took place at Monmouth Executive Airport - about 35 miles east of Trenton - at around 4 p.m., according to FAA spokesman Jim Peters. There is no further information about the passengers or the details of the crash yet, though Peters said there was “a very large debris field” at the airport. [NYDN]

Update: As of 9:00 p.m., the AP is now reporting that five people died in the crash: three men, a teenager and a young child.
