With New York State facing a staggering $9 billion budget deficit, Governor Paterson hopes to wring $1 billion in savings from cuts in health-care spending. Guess who isn't fond of this idea? The Healthcare Association of New York State! In their new ad, which is exponentially weirder and more entertaining than almost any health-care-related ad maybe ever, Paterson's cuts have taken the form of Cutzilla, a Godzilla-esque monster that destroys nursing homes and hospitals full of patients. (Because he cares about balancing the budget? We don't know.)
