New Jersey Woman Aiming to Become Fattest Woman in the World

New Jersey resident Donna Simpson already weighs 600 pounds and is the titleholder for fattest mother in the world, but that isn’t good enough for her. She’s currently the 43rd-heaviest living woman on record, and she wants to climb that list all the way to the top, breaking past the 1,000-pound barrier and becoming the fattest woman on the planet. To achieve that goal, she eats “mounds of junk food” and moves around as little as possible, relying on a motorized scooter to get from place to place. “My favourite food is sushi, but unlike others I can sit and eat 70 big pieces of sushi in one go,” she told the Daily Mail (or they claim she did — whenever Americans are quoted in British papers it never quite sounds like an actual person talking). “I do love cakes and sweet things, doughnuts are my favourite.”

Simpson has a website (that we unfortunately couldn’t find right away) where people pay to watch her eat, which helps subsidize the $750 she spends on food a week. But don’t worry — even though she can only move twenty feet on her own in one go, she says she feels very healthy and her husband finds her very sexy (their first daughter was born in 2007, and it took a medical team of 30 to perform the procedure). “I love eating and people love watching me eat,” she said. “It makes people happy, and I’m not harming anyone.” You go, girl! Go against that grain!
