USA Today Going After Wall Street Journal in Ads

By

After the New York Times launched a series of ads in advertising trade publications boasting about its circulation dominance in New York, USA Today this week started placing ads in local newspapers deriding the Journal's Wall Street bent. (The Journal surpassed USA Today in circulation late last year.) The ad campaign is called "What America Wants" and features the tagline, "“What’s Heard on the Street ... Doesn’t Really Matter."
