Joe Lieberman offered a warning today that America’s public transportation system is “vulnerable” to the kinds of attacks seen in London, Madrid, and, most recently, Moscow, calling for increased efforts to protect riders of U.S. trains, subways, and buses.
"The threat is real to non-aviation transportation. All you've got to do is look around the world," he said on Meet the Press, "I continue to believe that ... non-aviation is the vulnerable part of our transportation system, and we frankly need to give it more than we're giving it now to protect the American people. I worry about this.”
