On tonight’s Hardball, Chris Matthews and guest Bill Maher discussed the appeal of Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, who appeared together at a Minnesota rally last week, and it took no time at all for things to get skeevy. First, Matthews stammered as he said, in introducing the segment, “They showed up together looking — well, they’re attractive ladies ” This was more than enough for Maher to pounce on:
“I think you’re right. You hit on something there. They’re attractive, especially to the Republican party which is not known as a party that really does well with the opposite sex. Usually they’re doughy white men. I think they look on Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin as, you know, MILFs … and I agree. They’re morons I’d like to forget.”
Ugh.
