Dow in Free Fall

Fears about the negative effect the bailout of Greece might have on Europe and the rest of the global economy caused the Dow Jones Industrial Average to plunge 976 points, to 9900, this afternoon, the lowest it’s been since the panic of 2008. It has since made a partial recovery. [WSJ]

Update: Small upside for those vacationing in Europe! “The uncertainty pushed the euro to its lowest level in 14 months, at $1.2598 to the dollar. ” [NYT]
