One day after Iran agreed to send some of its uranium to Turkey in exchange for enriched fuel for a research reactor — similar to a proposal pushed for by the United States last year, but not as effective now that Iran has so much more uranium to possibly weaponize — Hillary Clinton announced that the five powers of the United Nations Security Council have finally agreed on a "strong draft" for a new round of sanctions against Iran, which will "send an unmistakable message about what is expected" from the rogue nation. Western diplomats had feared that China and Russia would be reluctant to agree to sanctions in light of the fuel-swap deal, but clearly, nobody was that impressed.
