Hiram Monserrate Is Hitting People in the Face for Charity Now

By

Well, that's progress. Monserrate has a son with autism, and he's stepping into the boxing ring this November for the "Fight for Charity" organization to raise money for groups that help children with special needs — at least that's his story. Monserrate also seems really intent on finding a legally sanctioned way to beat the crap out of State Senator Eric Schneiderman, who led the investigation that eventually got Monserrate booted from office and ruined his life. "Eric, please join us, join me in the ring and help me raise money for the kids. They need it, it's about the kids," Monserrate says, innocently, in a Daily News video. Schneiderman doesn't care about the kids, though. "This is a guy who battered a woman," he says. "I am not going to a shooting competition with the Son of Sam, either."
