Men Held After Raids May Have Provided Shahzad With Money

Those three guys taken in this morning during FBI raids in Massachusetts and Maine? It turns out that the three Pakistani men may have provided money to accused Times Square attempted bomb suspect Faizal Shahzad, Attorney General Eric Holder said today.

Shahzad is believed to have traveled to Ronkonkoma, a Long Island town, in the days before the May 1 failed attack, where he picked up several thousand dollars in cash, according to sources. Holder said it isn’t clear if these men knew that the money they were providing was going to be used for an act of terrorism. Right now, they’re being detained on civil immigration violations and have not been formally charged with a crime.
